Now, in the latest list, Chaska has dropped to No. 20, only to be smoked by … Chanhassen?
Chanhassen is No. 2 on Money’s list for cities with populations of 8,500 to 50,000.
Money Magazine gave Chan props for lower than average unemployment, dropping property taxes, its triple-A bond rating and its multitude of parks. One resident notes that “There’s a genuine small-town feel” to the city.Meanwhile Money credits Chaska for working to "maintain its small-town vibe." The magazine also claims that "The recent completion of Rt. 212 into the Twin Cities has halved commutes and lured new businesses into Chaska, but it has also caused a bump in traffic (and a slight bump in crime)."
Louisville, Colo. made its way to No. 1 this year.
