The boar is very stand-offish, he doesn't want to be messed with at all," Jamie Cheslock said. "The female when she's tucked in and lying down she likes to be scratched on her tummy. She'll roll over and grunt with pleasure."
And Henry, he is just along for the ride. Cheslock has been caring for the threesome, now the humane society wants to find them a permanent home.
"They came together, they've been through a lot together," Cheslock said. "I think it would be best if they stay together."
The animals were found mistreated and malnourished in Molalla. Ora Mitchell, the former owner, was sentenced to jail time and community service for neglecting them.
Cheslock will help make sure their new home is a good one.
"Where they can roam around. A sheltered area with bedding and food and water, for them to get out of the weather and not get too hot in the summer," Cheslock said. "He was inseparable with the boar and would sleep on top of him and pick on the female. Then in the last month he changed his mind and decided that the female was his friend."
Cheslock cares for a lot of mistreated animals on her farm. While she has grown especially fond of this bunch, she will not be sad to see them go.
