MILWAUKEE - In order to prevent the spread of swine flu, officials at St. Anthony School suggested parents pick up their children Thursday. The school, located on the city's south-side, will be closed Friday.
Assistant Principal Holly Cerveny told Today's TMJ4 HD the decision is precautionary. There are no known illnesses at the school, Cerveny said.
Due to the proximity of the St. Anthony campuses to four MPS schools already closed, the school decided to allow parents to pick up their children Thursday. By mid-morning, Cerveny said many students were already back home.
