wisconsin no call list

wisconsin no call list

Wisconsinites who want to be on the most updated do-not-call list have until this weekend to sign up.

The no-call list is updated quarterly. Names drop off the list after two years unless people sign up again.

Glen Loyd is a spokesman for the state Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. He says people who sign up by Sunday will be on the July 1 no-call list. Otherwise they have to wait until the October list comes out.

The list protects cell phones and land lines from unwanted telemarketer calls. Registration is free.

Loyd says he can never remember when he signed up so he just signs up every year.

He advises people not to wait until the last minute. He says the agency gets as many as 100,000 registrations in one day, which bogs the system down.
